Caleta de Fuste Await Your Pleasure For Eating, Playing, Drinking, Sunbathing, And Simply Having A Wonderful Vacation

My days in Costa Caleta or Caleta de Fuste & El Castillo as it’s also known; is a village I have called my home for more than two years now. And its somewhere very special indeed I love the pace of life here, the costs of living, and the standard of living.

It has rained for more than twenty-four hours, which hasn’t occurred for nearly a year or so, and it was more than a year before that since we had a decent downpour.

It doesn’t really bother me, but I have to say when I hear ex-pats, who moan about missing UK weather, whats to miss?

The snow, the sleet, the rain, the cold, and yes, the odd sunny spell. Which seem to me (as I have UK TV), to be in a decreasingly short supply indeed.

But enough of that moaning; you should visit Fuerteventura and Caleta de Fuste in particular. Its a peaceful place, and one where you can have tons of fun one day, and a quiet peaceful time, the next.

There are loads of bars and restaurants, sightseeing opportunities, trips and excursions, and interseting cycle and hiking routes.

The look of Fuerteventura is a little different, but someone once said, “it’s strangely beautiful”, and I have stolen that for my own ever since. I would love to give this phrase the correct authorship, but I dunno where I got it. Some describe it as the moons surface, but it has mountains, protected nature areas, great culture, as well as some indiginous wildlife.

The main areas of Fuerteventura are Caleta de Fuste, Corralejo, Jandia, and Puerto Del Rosairo, as its the Islands capital. It’s mainly the business capital as it is not really a tourism spot, but its a great place for bars and restaurants as well as shopping and practicing your Spanish.

Jandia is to the extreme south, and is predominantly German tourists, but its a great place to visit, with some of the best beaches and great shopping.

Corralejo is at the extreme north, and is considered by lost of people to be the tourism capital with caleta de fuste coming a close number two, at least for the Irish and the Brits.

Come and visit us in costa caleta, and wherever you stay (or whatever its called), you’ll have a great time.
