People who love the sea and like to surf or do water skiing would be happy going in for slalom water skiing. Water skiing is a thrilling experience and it is important to possess the ability and capability to do it. You need to have the dexterity and the posture to balance yourself on one ski instead of two skis, when it comes to slalom water skiing. Stability and poise are the two requisites and hence it is advised that you select the skis cautiously.

The first thing to think about is your weight and how fast you usually ski. The factors mentioned above would greatly influence the purchase of your slalom water ski. People with a heavy built should go in for a bigger ski.

Only if you wear correct boots, you would feel comfortable, otherwise not. If they are too tight you may even break an ankle or a knee if you fall suddenly. Loose boots are equally risky. There are a variety of boots like toe covers and full boots and many more.

Always select the right fit boots which lend a comfy feel. A fin system will add to the fun of a slalom water ski. Again your choice will depend on personal preference.

To maintain balance, you need to properly position your feet by placing the weak feet in the front and the strong one behind for better support. This is because your back foot will act as a balance and help you position yourself. This approach helps in allowing us to rise above water when the boat tries to pull you.

The boat cannot afford to be rash as otherwise it could make the ski tumble and you will also lose out balance. Once it is firm, bring it into alignment with your body, arms and legs parallel to the rope. Hold the rope with your palms down.
